You will travel the back roads into Balinese villages to share ancient dance and sacred ceremonial rituals. Day 1 – Depart the U.S. via Singapore Airlines, Asia’s most honored airlines.

Day 2 – As you will cross the international dateline, day 2 is literally lost in travel, and regained upon your return crossing of the dateline.

Day 3 – Upon arrival into Denpasar Airport, you will be met and transferred to the Grand Bali Beach Hotel. This unique resort is located on the Eastern coast of Bali. Buddy selected this property because of its unique Balinese structure and unsurpassed service. Nestled discreetly beachfront, the Resort affords its guests serenity, scenery and first class services. Your afternoon is at leisure. Welcome dinner served poolside with a quartet for your listening pleasure. (D).

Day 4 – For those wishing to enjoy a little exercise before breakfast, the Resort invites Buddy’s guests to join their pool aerobics instructor each morning for some early morning fun in the sun. Your morning is at leisure. You will be picked up at the resort in the early afternoon and set out for the southernmost tip of Bali. Here you will visit the Pura Luhur Temple at Uluwatu. Watch the monkeys playfully scampering along the breathtaking cliffs standing as breakers against the surf of the Indian Ocean. A seafood barbecue dinner on the sands of Jimbaran Bay ends your first full day on Bali. (B,D).

Day 5 – Morning at leisure. Early afternoon tour via the back roads to a traditional Balinese housing compound. Visit a silversmith’s workshop in Singapadu. A woodworking craftmen’s studio in Mas. The gallery of a well-know artist in Ubud, and an art museum. This evening enjoy an exclusive dinner and kecak dance at Wayan’s Village. The Kecak is the most famous and spectacular of Balinese dances. A countryside drive to the mountain village of Bedugul. En-route you pass through quiet villages that traverse the spectacular rice field valleys. Visit the monkey forest of Sangeh. A stop at the flower and spice market of Candikuning. Travel through the rural ensemble of 150 Balinese men seated in concentric circles performs Kecak Dance, in the middle of which the ancient Hindu Ramayana epic is performed. (B,D).

Day 6 – Shortly after breakfast you will join Buddy’s favorite Balinese chef for a trip to the local market. Here he will assist you in selecting the perfect ingredients for your days cooking lesson. You will gather meat, fish and vegetables prior to proceeding to a private home in Ubud for your Balinese-cooking lesson. After your lesson, you will enjoy your own creations for lunch. Evening at leisure. (B,L).

Day 7 – A mid-morning departure begins in area of Munduk, famous for its clove and coffee plantations. A short walks beside a waterfall before continuing through Pupuan, and its unique rice terraces. Enjoy sunset at the Tanah Lot Seaside Temple. (B,L).

Day 8 – A mid-morning departure for a trip back into Bali’s past. Today you will learn of Bali’s history from as far back as the 8th century. Visit the Regency of Gianyar to experience the majestic Yeh Pulu, a series of relief’s cut out of the rock face, dating back to the 14th century. Learn the legend of the ancient Moon of Pejeng. Heading North, visit the temple complex of Gunung Kawi, dating from the 11th century, this is one of Bali’s most ancient and honored historical sites. The afternoon ends with a visit to Panelokan overlooking Mt. Batur and the beautiful Lake Batur. (B).

Day 9 – Today begins with a visit to Gianyar where you will be the exclusive guest at a fabric-weaving factory famous for its traditional Balinese "Ikat" style of tie-die. Experience the Kerta Gosa Court Justice of Klungkung with its majestic ceiling frescoes. Visit the isolated Bali Aga village of Tengganan. Watch primitive salt making techniques at Kusamba. Lunch will be served at a quaint seaside restaurant in Candidasa. (B,L).

Day 10 – An early departure for a full day of tranquility. Begin the day aboard a luxury catamaran for your cruise to the island of Lembongan. There you will be transferred by glass bottom boat to a private Beach Club. Relax on golden sand, lounge under the shade of the Club’s tropical gardens, or enjoy a relaxing swim in the lagoon pool. If you prefer a more active day you can enjoy pool volleyball, banana boat rides, snorkelling and various island excursions. A lunch barbecue will be served at the poolside cabana. Evening at leisure. (B.L)

Day 11 – A mid-morning shopping excursion to local teak artists. This is the time for some serious shopping for those in need of any top quality teak furnishings. You will be afforded only the highest quality work, and the craftspeople will offer the very best prices to Buddy’s friends. Any large purchases will be shipped directly to your home and will arrive shortly after you get home. As most of this day is at leisure, you may wish to schedule your visit to Resort Spa, for your one hour of truly "royal" treatment. This Spa visit is included as part of your tour and can be scheduled anytime you desire. Farewell dinner will be held at the Puri Anyar Kerambitan. Local musicians will provide musical entertainment. Do not forget your cameras, as this will be an evening of treasures you will want to share. (B,D).

Day 12 – Your day is at leisure until your scheduled transfers back to the airport for your flight home or you may take one of our extension tours. You will be pick-up at the hotel lobby at 11:00AM. (B).

Deposit: US$ 500 per person is due within seven days of reservation. Balance due 60 days after reservation or 60 days prior to departure.

Cancellations & Refunds: A cancellation penalty of $ 100/person applies for any canceled bookings made by certified mail 60 days prior to the departure date. Cancellation between 31 and 59 days of departure will result in 50% of tour cost. cancellation within 30 days of departure are non-refundable.
